Opening Hours

We welcome children from 8am-6pm, Monday-Friday. We are open all year round with a couple of closure weeks through out the year. Our nursery is closed on all bank holidays and 5 training days through the year. (Once you join you will have access to the Famly calendar to view all important dates)

Our Focus

We are dedicated to providing a supportive, challenging and fun environment that inspires child-initiated play experiences to promote curiosity, exploration and independence for our older children. We follow planning in the moment throughout the nursery, where our highly skilled Early Years Practitioners tune into each child’s individual interests to extend and enhance the children’s development. We have dedicated spaces for exploration indoors and in our amazing garden. Our extensive garden is open all day, whatever the weather and includes our mini beast area, sand pit, home corner and construction area where our children can become confident risk-takers and mess-makers. We organise outings based on children’s interests to further inspire and extend children’s natural desire to learn.

Extra curricular

Enrichment

We offer additional classes such as Sports School, which enhances physical development, problem-solving skills, and teamwork. Enrichment classes include yoga sessions, Peaceful Kids, language lessons, cooking, reading, creative activities, music, and dance sessions. All classes are voluntary and complement our continuous provision.

Our Approach

We encourage children to use their problem-solving skills and independence at every stage of the day. They piece together previous learning, are given ample thinking time, and are asked open-ended questions to find their own solutions. Our approach supports children in developing critical thinking and self-reliance.

Our dedicated teacher works with older children, preparing them for school through play-based learning. By observing and tapping into the children’s interests, she develops their skills using basic levels of phonics and enhances their dexterity as part of the initial stages of writing. Staff members collaborate to identify and nurture each child’s unique learning style.
