FAQ's!
- What age is Baby Massage and Sign & Learn suitable for?
The IAIM Baby Massage course is for babies between the age of birth to 1 year. At Highbury Community Nursery, we use a small, cosy room for the session so if your baby is confidently crawling this course may not be as suitable. Our Sign & Learn Course is for babies from 6 months old.
- What happens at Baby Massage and Sign & Learn?
Baby Massage focuses on massaging different areas of your baby’s body. There are many benefits to massage such as enhancing bonding, helping digestion and aiding relaxation. Sign and Learn is a fun singing session incorporating Makaton signs for families to use at home with their babies.
- How many parents/carers join each course?
We use a small, cosy room, so we limit each Baby Massage course to 3 parents/carers and the Sign & Learn course to 6 parents. Baby First Aid is for 4 families of babies under 1 year old – babies are welcome!
- Do I have to join all 5 weeks of the course?
You will be asked to pay for the whole Baby Massage and Sign & Learn course which is 5 weeks. If you are unable to attend a session, Zoom is available on request.
- Do I have to pay prior to the course?
When booking, you will be asked for payment. You may cancel up until 1 week prior to the course, but after this time no refund will be given.
- Where can I keep my buggy/pram?
No buggies/prams are allowed in the building, so we ask you to secure these to our internal fences. Locks are available on request. Using a baby carrier is advised where possible.
